The latest news on the geological front.

The OCGS has six active committees (Education, Finance, Governance, Membership, Publications and Social) which could really benefit from your involvement.  For more information on the responsibilities and activities of each committee or if you are interested in joining, please contact Chelsey Jones.  Committee participation is an excellent vehicle for networking and building relationships which could not be of greater importance in today's industry environment.

Oklahoma City Geological Society Field Camp Scholarship Guidelines

The Oklahoma City Geological Society offers field camp scholarships to Oklahoma State University, University of Oklahoma and The University of Tulsa undergraduate students majoring in geology to help offset the expense of attending field camp.  Students must be attending summer field camps that are associated with the universities listed above.  Scholarships are awarded based on economic/financial need, GPA greater than 2.6, career goals and the importance of the financial award in allowing them to attend the program.  The number of awards may vary from year to year.  Application deadline is March 15th.  The application form will be available January 2020.
