The Shale Shaker
The Journal of the Oklahoma City Geological Society
The Shale Shaker is the bimonthly Journal of the Oklahoma City Geological Society, Inc. Members of the Society receive a subscription to the Shale Shaker as part of their membership. For non-members, the 2020 annual subscription rate for the Shale Shaker is $60.00 for mailings within the U.S. and outside the U.S.
The purpose of the Shale Shaker is two-fold: first, to keep members informed of the activities of the Society; and second, to encourage the exchange and dissemination of technical information related to the profession of Geology. The Shale Shaker encourages contributions from Society Members and welcomes contributions from other sources. The Shale Shaker is published under the oversight of OCGS Shale Shaker Editor Dan Costello and a dedicated Publications Committee. The Directors, Officers, and staff of the Society, neither support nor oppose the views expressed in signed articles. See the Shale Shaker Article Submission Guidelines for complete information on how to submit articles for publication consideration.
